In developmentFor independent auto repair shops

Meet Dee — your AI Service Advisor.

Dee is being built to help your shop handle service inquiries when your team is busy: collect the customer’s details and their vehicle, capture what’s wrong in their own words, and route a clear next step to your staff.

Not live on any shop’s phones yet. Early access shops help shape the pilot.

Illustration only. Names, vehicles, and the phone number are invented; this is not a live shop.

Your team is busy. The phone doesn’t know that.

  • The phone rings mid-job

Your advisor is at the counter, your techs are under a car, and the next caller gets voicemail — or hangs up before it.

  • Intake comes back thin

“It’s making a noise” with no year, make, or model means a second call before anyone can quote, order parts, or schedule a bay.

  • After hours goes unanswered

Messages left overnight wait in a voicemail box until someone has time to play them back, write them down, and call back.

How Dee works

Planned workflow

This is the workflow Dee is being built and tested for. It is described here so you can judge whether it fits your shop — not because it is running on phones today.

  1. A customer reaches Dee

When your team can’t get to the phone, Dee picks up the service inquiry in plain, patient English.

  2. Dee captures the details

Customer name and callback number, the vehicle, and the complaint in the customer’s own words — including any warning lights they mention.

  3. A service request reaches your shop

Structured, searchable, and flagged by urgency. Anything that sounds unsafe is marked for a person to call back first.

  4. Your team takes it from there

Staff review the request and follow up. Dee gathers information; your people make the decisions.

Roadmap

Not available yet. Each ships only after it has been built and tested with real shops:

  • Live phone answering on your shop’s number
  • Appointment booking and confirmation
  • Missed-call text-back

Built for the service counter, not a generic chatbot

What Dee is designed to capture, and the rules it follows while doing it.

  • Vehicle details, never invented

Year, make, and model, plus the VIN and mileage when the customer has them. If a character of a VIN is unclear, Dee records no VIN rather than a plausible wrong one.

  • Symptoms and warning lights

What the customer hears, feels, smells, and sees — and any trouble code they read off a scanner — recorded as their report, for your technician to diagnose.

  • Your shop’s answers only

Hours, services, and FAQs come from what you configure. If you haven’t told Dee, Dee says a person will follow up instead of guessing.

  • Safety triage and human handoff

Brake failure, smoke or fire, fuel leaks, overheating, and EV high-voltage concerns are escalated to a person. Safety only ever rises; nothing downgrades it.

What Dee will not do

  • Diagnose a vehicle over the phone
  • Quote a price you haven’t set
  • Tell anyone a vehicle is safe to drive

Your customers trust you with their information

So the platform is built to keep it contained. A full privacy policy for the product will be published before any shop goes live.

  • Each shop’s data is its own

Customer and vehicle records are isolated per shop in the database itself, not just in the app. One shop can never see another’s customers.

  • Staff access by role

Owners, managers, and staff get the access their role needs. Every change to a service request is recorded in an audit trail.

  • Recording is off unless you turn it on

Call-recording consent rules vary by state and by where each caller is. Recording and its disclosure are per-shop settings, and they start disabled.

  • Your request on this page

What you submit below is used only to contact you about early access. It is not sold and is deleted on request — see the privacy notice.

Questions shop owners ask

Is Dee answering phones for shops today?

No. AutoDee AI is in development. The intake, safety, and service-request systems are being built and tested now; live phone answering comes with the pilot. Early access shops help shape that pilot.

Will Dee diagnose my customers’ cars?

No. Dee records what the customer reports and flags anything that sounds unsafe. Diagnosis stays with your technicians, after they have the vehicle.

Can Dee book appointments?

Not yet. Booking and confirmations are on the roadmap and will be offered only after they are tested against real shop schedules.

Does Dee replace my service advisor?

No. Dee handles intake when your team can’t get to the phone. Your advisor still reviews every request, talks to the customer, and makes the call.

What does it cost?

Pricing isn’t published yet. We will discuss it with early access shops directly, before anything is billed.

Which shops is this for?

Independent general repair and diagnostic shops in the U.S., starting in English.

Does it connect to my shop management system?

Not today. Integrations are planned for later and will use each system’s own authorized interface.
